Kids found a toad.....what now?

Ok so the kids found two toads and put them in a bucket with some grass and leaves. I don't know anything about toads but since we also have a dog they have been taking it outside to do its business and everything. :) (which obviously doesn't work) They want to know what it eats though, and how to further take care of it. So any ideas on some basic how to toad care that will keep them busy and happy? And the toad too!
