Tell her that shelties, are herding dogs. They all have that drive to run, play and please their masters. While she is welcome to her opinion, it is certainly not valid for all dogs, nor most shelties. Any dog can master the requirements of agility, and no matter if they excel competitively or not the sport is a good outlet of energy and excellent training for any dog, no matter the breed.
