What are some good anime series?

Normally, I like horror and gory animes like Highschool of the Dead or Ghost Hunt. A friend recommended me School Days, which I'm not sure how it is a horror, but I liked it a lot. What are some anime series that are really like School Days, since I dont think i can watch that series over and over this whole summer
