Samsung CD-RW/DVD driver?

FYI, this is a CD-ROM drive. It supports CD Text, CD Extra, CD-DA (audio), CD-I, CD-ROM XA, Photo CD, Video CD, CD-ROM. It doesn’t support DVD formats. And I also find out that this drive required operating systems are Windows 95, Windows98/ME/2000, so I guess your operating system can’t recognized the drive comprehensively. Did the Windows XP operating system come with your Dell? Did Dell offer any disk that contains the drivers for the hardware installed on the laptop? If there wasn’t any disk or you can’t find the disk, maybe you should use some search engines to find a suitable driver for your Samsung SN 124 - CD-ROM drive online. Good luck for you.
