Can someone tell me what kind of frog or toad is this?

i found it in mexicali this weekend when i went to visit my dad its gray with dark spots and it was pretty big i almost stepped on it there was two wondering around in the dirt. so i decided to put dirt in there tank and some water with a rock in it one is always on top of the rock and the other one is hiding under the dirt they make weird noises not loud tho but i really want to know what kind of frog it is so i could feed them something
