Can i shoot a recurve bow yet?

i am 13 years old and i really want a recurve bow i can shoot a compound at 50 pounds but im not sure if i can shoot a recurve yet? i want the martin jaguar take-down. it looks nice and i really want to know if i can shoot it yet and how much pounds i can prob pull back and maybe the pound is capable to hunt with?
